We make what
chocolate is made of.
Cocoa is not a commodity once you write down what you need from it. That sentence is the company.
İmesta Food Lojistik Dış Ticaret Ltd. Şti. buys cocoa at origin, turns it into powder, butter and liquor in Türkiye, and ships it to the manufacturers who put it inside their own products.
That has been the whole business since 2002. Not a division of something larger, not a trading desk that also does cocoa — one raw material, one process, and a specification sheet you can hold us to.
Our capacity
What we can actually ship.
Capacity only matters to a buyer as an answer to one question: can you keep supplying me at the volume I am planning for?
- Two origins, one baselineBeans come from Ghana & Côte d'Ivoire. The baseline does not hold because the beans come from one farm — it holds because every run is taken to the same parameters.
- Processed in TürkiyeRoasting, alkalization, pressing, milling and packing happen in one country, under one set of records.
- Shipped east and southRegular lanes to MENA, the Gulf, Africa and the CIS — the markets closest to us, reached by sea in containers and by road in full loads.
How we work
Five things you can hold us to.
Not values — positions. Each one is checkable against a document, a sample or a shelf.
- 01
One raw material
Cocoa since 2002 — not a portfolio of ingredients that happens to include it. Everything the company knows is about one bean and what can be done to it.
- 02
Sold by specification, not by grade
Nobody orders "cocoa powder". They order a pH, a fat content, a fineness and a colour. The four products exist to hit those numbers.
- 03
The sample is the argument
We would rather send material you can test than a brochure you have to believe. Every sample leaves with the data sheet that describes it.
- 04
Documented, every batch
Eleven certificates, including FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, Halal and Kosher. They travel with the product, not on request three weeks later.
- 05
We do not make chocolate
Our customers do. A supplier who also sells finished confectionery is, on some shelf somewhere, competing with the customer it supplies. We are not on that shelf.
Under the same roof
İmesta Coffee Roastery
The coffee arm under the same roof — green bean sourcing and roasting. It shares the supply discipline, not the product. A separate business with separate customers; we mention it because the people and the sourcing discipline are shared.
There is a smaller coincidence too. Theobromine — the alkaloid that makes cocoa taste of cocoa — and caffeine, the one that does the same for coffee, are the same molecule one methyl group apart. Two businesses, one skeleton.
